The King of Jazz
During the evolution of Jazz music in the 1920s, Paul Whiteman was declared the King of Jazz by the media, for he has the most commercially and most popular jazz band during the Jazz Age. His music emphasizes jazz, which is already an established kind of music since 1910, through the way he organized his composition and style. Among his popular recorded music was Hoagy Carmichael and Washboard Blues which he sings to the accompaniment of his own orchestra.
Most dance bands in that time consisted only of six to 10 members, Paul Whiteman orchestra has a large and imposing group that consists as many as 35 musicians. He has composed so many jazz music and his recordings were extremely popular and commercially acclaimed, where he gain more respect in the Jazz Music.
