History of Jazz Music
The origin of Jazz music in America was in New Orleans. It was a culture carried from west African black folk music and was joined in by European popular and light classical music of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. This became the syncopated rhythms of ragtime and minor chord voicing characteristic of the blues. This unique and artistic music occurred at the same time in other North American areas like Saint Louis, Kansas and Chicago City.
The Jazz and Blues Music are among the greatest America’s cultural achievement and exported to the world giving the powerful voice to the American experience . Jazz music history gave a strong statements about Freedom uniting people across the divided race, region and national boundaries and creativity and of the American identity at home and abroad.
Jazz is a unique expression taken from life experiences and human emotions as its inspiration. It is not as simple as choosing a tune, but it is created first in the mind, motivated by one’s passion and willed next in music.
